The battle for the best must-have planner has been an ongoing competition among coffee shops during the holidays. And for 2011, we were able to collect three all because my sister was on Christmas vacation that time and we are just certified caffeine-guzzlers. Come to think of it, I would have had a fourth planner had I accepted it as a gift but I had to graciously refuse because it was just a tad too expensive (those who collect know that you have to spend close to p2,000 for one nifty planner).
But the love for having the planner is not commensurate as to diligently writing on it. I tend to leave it at home because it’s heavy or it just won’t fit in my bag or I’m just plain lazy to do so.
And since 2011 is one of the best years I’ve had in a while, I converted it into a photo diary of sorts. I carefully selected photos I took that year; had it printed in 2R; pasted it on the pages of the planner; and scribbled some text to help me remember the story behind the photo. I used post-its and color pens to jazz it up a bit, too.
Try it! It’s a fun way to make better use of your planner and even more fun way to look back in the year that was 😀
First project for 2012
I am a certified caffeine freak and I love Starbucks (and Coffee Bean, Seattle’s Best among others) and what better way to celebrate their 40th anniversary last March 8 than to give free upsize? Yay! So I drowned myself in my ever favorite Espresso Frap. Love it!
And they launched their new wordless logo too. Just like any change, I’m sure there are commotions and violent reactions over it. People have identified with the old logo already and it takes a while to get used to the new one. I’m thinking maybe it’s their way of making the logo speak for the brand; like when people see the mythological siren, people will associate it with Starbucks. But what do I know?
So…. I will just enjoy my coffee and let the others whine over the change.
puts foot under one leg… opens my book…
sips my coffee… this is life!
Starbucks Glorietta 5 is now open. You can use your coupon (if you have the planner) here!
Need a cheap caffeine fix? No, I don’t mean Kopiko candy diluted in hot water…
My brother introduced me to the brewed coffee at 711. It’s got the taste of premium coffee but at a much cheaper price compared to Starbucks, Coffee Bean, etc. Its price ranges from P45 to P55. Ya huh!
The coffee is so delish. They have the Midnight Blend, Caramel Macchiato and Cappuccino. They even have the Hershey’s Hot Choco Loco for those who are not coffee addicts.
No baristas here. Pay up in the counter and they’ll give you the cup lid and sleeve. Go to the coffee machine and off you go.
** Off to enjoy my caramel macchiato now **
