My nephew recently graduated from kindergarten and instead of the usual dine out treat, we decided to give him a treat that he’s likely to enjoy more. A day at the beach. It was also a chance to take our mom out for a change of scenery and get out from this urban jungle’s heat and weird weather.
Off we headed to Sunset Cove in Morong, Bataan.
Sidenotes: For P150/100 (adults and kid rates, respectively) this resort is ok. They don’t even charge corkage fees if you bring in food and beverage.
While the beach is gorgeous, their amenities need a lot to improve on. Like a paved walkway going to their restrooms/shower rooms so you don’t bring in the sand with you and cause clogged drainage.
And maybe better maintenance of the beach as the smell of dogs and chickens will greet you as soon as you step out of your vehicle. There was even a dead frog in one of the pails near the shower room that seriously reeked.
All those aside, their amiable and helpful staff pretty much make up for what they lack in amenities. Nanay Openg was really nice as well as the guys cleaning the place.
