More than two months of owning the Nikon D3100 still leaves a lot to be learned. I just love that Nikon continues to provide us amateurs with loads of tips to be better at capturing those shots that the pros do so well.
To top it off, I have a tutor (who may not want to be named… because he’s such a privacy freak. LOL 😀 ) who’s generous with his knowledge and tips and proved that Nikon is indeed one sturdy camera. Because it accidentally slipped off the strap and fell to the ground with a thud that almost gave me a heart attack. And lo and behold, it survived with just a scratch on the UV filter.
Always keep the UV filter on because not only does it reduce the haziness caused by UV light, it also serve as protection for your lens.
Lesson from The Tutor (which I will probably learn with a bleeding nose):
Using the flash requires math. Even in photography?! I was like… Whhattt? The aperture and shutter has something to do with it. Well, I’ll be damned! I’ll just share it when I’ve gotten around to it. 😉
Take nothing but pictures.
Leave nothing but footprints.
Kill nothing but time.
